As Kejriwal’s Interim Bail Relief Nears End, Delhi CM Shares Concern Over ‘More Torture’ In Tihar Jail

By May31,2024

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday that he is set to go back to Tihar jail the day after tomorrow, and he has no idea for how long this time he will be kept inside the jail. Speaking at a press conference, the Delhi CM said that his spirits are high and he is proud that he is going to jail to save the country from dictatorship. This comes as the Delhi CM’s interim bail relief nears its end.

The Supreme Court on May 10 granted interim bail to the Delhi CM in the Delhi Liquor Policy case to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections 2024. The top court allowed interim release for Kejriwal for campaigning but said that he must surrender on June 2.

The Aam Aadmi Party chief also said that once he goes back inside the jail, there is a possibility that he will be tortured more this time. He added that he would not bow down.
